Few artists have dragged an entire subgenre into the spotlight the way Indira Paganotto has. Over the last few years the Spanish DJ has taken psy-techno — a fusion of psytrance’s hypnotic pulse and techno’s weight — from festival side-rooms to a Sunday residency at the world’s most-voted club. In 2026, with her own Beatport genre category, a debut album and a devoted “PSYFAMILY”, she’s one of the most talked-about names in the scene.
From Madrid to the Main Stage
Born in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands in 1992 and raised in Madrid, Paganotto grew up around the music — her father was a DJ, and she started developing her own sound as a teenager. Her sets pull from 1990s rave, psytrance and underground techno, a combination that gives them a relentless, hypnotic energy few peers can match.
She built her reputation the underground way, releasing on respected techno labels like KNTXT, Second State and Octopus Records before founding her own imprint, ARTCORE, in 2022. A 2023 collaboration with Nina Kraviz, “White Horse”, helped push her onto the international circuit, and she hasn’t slowed since — headlining Awakenings, Tomorrowland’s main stage, Amnesia and beyond.
ARTCORE and the Psy-Techno Movement
ARTCORE is the engine behind her rise — a label and event series that has become the flagship of the whole psy-techno movement, with a global run of showcases and a roster of rising artists. It’s also given the sound something rare: institutional recognition. In early 2026, Paganotto worked with [Beatport](https://www.beatport.com/) to launch a dedicated psy-techno category on the platform, a landmark moment that formally put the genre on the map.
Her debut album, *Arte Como Amante*, arrived the same year, and tracks like “Gipsy Queen” and collaborations with Joseph Capriati and Armin van Buuren show how far her reach now extends across the techno spectrum.
The 2026 Hï Ibiza Residency
The clearest sign of her arrival is her residency at [Hï Ibiza](https://www.hiibiza.com/), the four-time No. 1 club in the world. After an explosive debut season in 2025, ARTCORE moved to Sunday nights for 2026 — 19 weeks from 31 May to 4 October, turning the Club Room into what she calls a temple of psy-techno. She rounds off the season with a one-night ARTCORE takeover at Ibiza’s new hyperclub [UNVRS] in October.
